Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the operator of Reels Blocker("Reels Blocker", "we", "us", "our") and govern your access to and use of:

• the Reels & Shorts Limit Blocker Chrome browser extension (the "Extension"); and
• the website at reelsblocker.app (the "Site"), including any account and paid plans purchased through it.

Together, the Extension and the Site are referred to as the "Service". By installing the Extension, creating an account, or purchasing a plan, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Reels Blocker is a personal productivity tool that helps you reduce the time you spend on short-form video. It works only on three third-party platforms — YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook — and only on their short-form video pages (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels).

The Extension lets you:

• set a daily limit on how many reels/shorts you watch per platform in any rolling 24-hour window;
• see a real-time counter while you browse;
• be blocked from the platform when you cross your limit;
• with a Pro plan, use Mindful Mode (a 5-second pause), view 7-day history, run an AI Reality Check on what you watched, receive motivational notifications, and let an educational-content category not count toward your limit.

Reels Blocker is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google LLC, Instagram, Facebook, Meta Platforms, Inc., or OpenAI. Their trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use the Service.

Some features require a free account that you create on the Site using your email. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us promptly via our Contact us page if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Reels Blocker offers a free tier and two paid plans. All paid plans are one-time purchases that grant Pro features for a fixed number of days. Nothing renews automatically.

• Free plan: covers Facebook Reels with a default limit of 20 reels per 24 hours. No payment, no account required for basic blocking.
• Starter — US$2 for 60 days: unlocks every Pro feature on every supported platform for 60 days.
• Pro — US$5 for 180 days: unlocks every Pro feature on every supported platform for 180 days.

All prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout depending on your location. We may change prices for new purchases at any time; any change does not affect plans you have already purchased.

Payment processor. Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms and accept that Stripe — not Reels Blocker — handles your card data. We never see or store full card numbers. We receive the Stripe session and customer identifiers, the plan you bought, the amount, and a confirmation of payment.

Activation. After payment, you can claim your plan from your account dashboard. The Site issues a short-lived activation code that the Extension exchanges for an extension token. Your Pro access starts at the moment of activation (or at payment time if you are already signed in on a device with the Extension installed) and expires after the plan's number of days.

We offer a 7-day, no-questions-asked refund from the date of purchase, regardless of whether you activated the plan. To request a refund, send us a message via our Contact us page from the email address you used to purchase, with the Stripe receipt or transaction ID. Refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

After 7 days, purchases are non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law. Issuing a refund deactivates the related Pro access.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension and the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use during your plan period (or indefinitely on the free tier, subject to these Terms).

This license does not allow you to:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
• redistribute, resell, share, or publish activation codes or extension tokens generated by the Service;
• tamper with limits, counters, plan expiry, or billing logic to obtain Pro features without paying.

You agree that you will not:

• use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations, or the terms of service of YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook;
• use the Service to interfere with or disrupt YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, OpenAI, Stripe, Supabase, or any other third party;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure or other users' accounts, codes, or data;
• upload or transmit through the Service any content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, harassing, or otherwise objectionable;
• use the Service to harm yourself or others.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or abused the Service.

The Service interacts with several third parties. Your use of those third parties is governed by their own terms and privacy policies:

• YouTube, Instagram, Facebook — the Extension reads URL paths on supported platforms (e.g., /shorts/, /reel/) and the page's og:title meta tag in order to count and label what you watch.
• Stripe — checkout and payment processing.
• Supabase — authentication, account data, and database hosting.
• OpenAI — only when you press "Run AI Reality Check", the Extension sends the titles and counts of the reels in your 7-day log to OpenAI's API to generate the report. See the Privacy Policy for details.
• Vercel — website hosting.

We are not responsible for third-party services, and changes to third-party platforms (for example, a new URL scheme on Instagram) may temporarily affect how the Extension counts or blocks content.

The Service, including its source code, design, copy, logos, and branding, is owned by Reels Blocker and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including (but not limited to) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• the Service will always count every reel or block every reel correctly — third-party platforms change their URLs, DOM, and behavior frequently, which can temporarily break detection;
• the AI Reality Check output is accurate, complete, fit for any purpose, or non-offensive (it is generated by a third-party AI and is deliberately blunt);
• the Service will be available without interruption or free of errors.

Reels Blocker is not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic service. If you are experiencing distress related to digital consumption or addiction, please consult a qualified professional.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Reels Blocker, its operators, or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$10. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, the above limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reels Blocker, its operators, and its suppliers from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the Extension and, if you wish, deleting your account by sending us a message via our Contact us page. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, fraud, chargebacks, or abuse.

Termination ends your license to the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., payments owed, IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.

We may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; if we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via the Site. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Reels Blocker is operated, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where this is prohibited by mandatory local law (for example, consumer-protection laws that apply where you live).
